 How does
Otreon work?
Cefpodoxim restrains the structure of the cell wall of bacteria. Thus the
exciters are killed.
The active substance possesses among other things a strong antibacterial effect
against staphylococci, Streptokokken, Escherichia coli, Enterobakter,
Haemophilus influenza. In addition
Otreon is stable also against such
bacteria, which produce a substance (beta Laktamase), which can make some
antibiotics ineffective.
Use which areas of application is
Otreon inserted?
With inflammations of the upper respiratory system, e.g. acute and chronic
inflammations of the tympanic cavity, the nose beside caves, the throat, the
almonds and the adjacent fabric, the larynx and abscess in the adjacent fabric
of the gaumenmandeln
With inflammations of the deep respiratory system, e.g. acute and chronic
bronchitis, infectious complications of a diseased expansion of bronchi (Bronchiektasien)
and other chronic lung illnesses, bacterial pneumonia
During kidney basin inflammation, bladder inflammation, urethra inflammation
with Gonorrhoe (Tripper)
With inflammations of the striking and soft parts, which are caused by the germs
Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus of pyogenes
How is
Otreon used?
Otreon is taken whole with much liquid to a meal.
When couldn't
Otreon be used?
With hypersensitivity to contents materials Otreon.
To consider are besides possible cross allergies with available penicillin
allergy, i.e. that with existing penicillin allergy also to Otreon allergisch
can be reacted.
Caution:
